Today is the first day of the Studio Stroll. Asheville has a wonderful area called the River Arts District. A hundred years ago it was the factory and warehouses district, now most of the buildings have been converted to artists’ studios. The River District Arts organization does a lot to promote the area, including promoting these twice a year strolls. There is a trolley to take you from building to building, but it’s also a nice walk. There are all kinds of interesting painters, potters, glass blowers, soap makers, quilters, metal sculptors, jewelers etc. to check out. We’re open 11 am to 5 pm Sat. and Sun.
