cleopatra

Cleopatra headdress based on the one worn by Liz Taylor in the 1963 film

It’s trying to be spring here in the north part of the southern US, in the east part of North America. Fits and starts. A few 70 degree days, another icy blast of snow. But the dafodills are out and the weeping cherries are starting to pink up.

In the studio we are busier than ever. The amazing Cleopatra headdress is taking shape. A set of kickass pirate pauldrons and an octopus eye patch will be ready to ship this week. A small muster of Maleficents are growing horns in the corner.

We have a new assistant and she’s learning fast. Torrey comes to us from our favorite stiltwalking fairie troop Whee Ah Faerie Kin. She’s creative, wise beyond her years, and  a lovely young woman who also happens to be a licensed plumber!  She and Nara make a great team.

Speaking of Nara, here she is vamping in a new curvalicious steampunk top hat, made for one of our dear repeat customers.
