The end of the year is the time for looking back and looking forward. We had a challenging year, but lessons were learned and beautiful things and experiences were made. Here are a few:

2016

Lionfish sets – 2 fiercely elegant full costume sets based on the dangerously beautiful lionfish. Made for a pair of globetrotting merpeople
Unicorn mask – Large mask/helmet made as a mascot costume for the Minnesota Rennaissance Faire
Spider Crab Belt – Made for the merman behind the crustaceously commanding Isopod Pauldron from last year. We love repeat customers who build their collections like this.
Green and gold Queen of the Damned Crown – A new colorway now available as a made to order item.
Published Oogoo for Artists book – We published our first book which outlines our moldmaking techniques
New line of cincher belts – 4 elegant designs available in 3 sizes in our shop
2 in-studio workshops – inspired and inspiring hands-on workshops learning the Organic Armor Arts. Next one happens in February.
Wonderful comraderie and work in student community – See their work and read some interviews here
Blues for Allah Hat – inspired by the Grateful Dead and featuring one of our special orignal cameos.

What do we have planned for 2017?

More photoshoot collaborations with brilliant photographers all over the world, including John Farrar, Winterwolf Studios and Gail Kilker.

In cooperation with Finfolk Productions – silicone mermaid tops!

A new online course on horned headdresses! Launching hopefully in March.

Travelling Introduction to the Organic Armor Arts workshops – starting with 2 locations in Canada.

Watch our Instagram, Facebook and seasonal newsletters for announcements about these as they develop.

We wish you a new year of peace and art, health and fun, prosperity and community!
