Paul Hersey is the visionary artist behind Organic Armor, founded 11 years ago. His journey to master costume sculptor has been a long and circuitous one.

He had the good fortune to be interviewed recently by Andrew Rainey of our local community radio station, AshevilleFM. This thoughtful and in depth collage is a beautiful way to tell his story and, at age 62, it’s the perfect moment to do so, as he enters the sagacious elder chapter of his life.

Each of these episodes is an hour long, so settle in for an interesting portrait of Paul and his quest for spiritual and creative meaning through a cult, psychedelia, art, and family, across the globe and back. You will be surprised by some of the twists and turns.

Each episode starts with about 1:25 of sponsor announcements. If you want to know what any of the music is, go to the playlists on the Words to Live By show page for August 12, 19 and 26, 2018 shows. Big appreciation goes out to Andrew for his insight, editing prowess and big heart. If you like this style of story telling check out his other episodes, with a new one every Sunday.
